The stories of Adam
March 15, 2025
Just a quick update on Adam. He is a spunky little thing. He make it known with he is hungry (he has dry food in the feeder, but cries until I give him wet food. Then if I mix dry food in with the wet food, he will literally spit it out. The only thing left is the dry food.
When it is bedtime, his bedtime, he cries and sits on the keyboard or blocks the monitor until I turn the lights off and go laydown with him. The only exception is if I put cat videos on the computer for him. Then he just sits there and watches them. Funniest thing ever.
He has enjoyed the windows open this week. But now they are closed and it so cold again. I have to wean him off wet food in the next 2 weeks since he won't get it while I am gone, I won't be gone long - leave Monday evening and back by noon on Thursday.
Well, it is cold and he won't cuddle with me today, so I will find something else to do,

Just chilling. He was all kinds of stretched out.

Yesterday, Adam and I had a better day. He still wont eat his dry food. I have mixed it in with his wet food. I have mixed it with tuna. I tried Science Diet and then the food he had at my nephew's house, Acana. He isn't going to like it when I am gone and he only has dry food. I will keep trying, but it is frustrating. Not as frustrating as him constantly sitting on my keyboard - or going for my phone if I am on it LOL
I am hoping today he is chill. I need a chill day; unless the girls get to come over a little bit.
March 7, 2025 - growing pains
Adam and I had a rough day. He is biting and scratching and meowing. I didn't sign up to have a baby (no comments needed on that). He likes to demand attention by sitting on my keyboard. He likes to bite and scratch until I get pissed off.
Tomorrow is a new day.
Adam joins the family March 2, 2025
So this is Adam. I was almost forced to give him a home by Staci. I have talked about getting a cat for awhile, but I needed to have things in place first. I do have a crazy schedule one week a month. But I was able to get things set up.
Adam is around 10-12 weeks, I will have to find out (he came from a liter that Staci's cousin had). He is kind of a pain in my ass at time. He is whiny when he is hungry. Very whiny when it is bed time (which he has determined is 11pm). Wants to taste my food and drink from my glass. And when I don't give him the attention that he wants, he sits on my keyboard.
He looks sweet and innocent, and he is. He got in trouble one time and we just need to make sure we are working together to make sure he doesn't think he runs the house. We will be making sure that the grumpy mexican doesn't have any issues (no cat hair ANYWHERE, no smell of liter box, and he can't see the cat either). We have 3 weeks before we have to deal with that. He did find out about Adam, but it isn't like I was trying to hide him.
I am hopeful that Adam will be a good thing for me. I already have the next cat named - but I am not ready for 2 cats and controlling them for the 5 days that Javier is here. So Steve will have to wait. Yes, Adam and Steve.
