I have been very good, I think, staying off my phone during Lent. The flip side of not using my phone is missing stuff on social media. I had heard that Bullock wasn't doing well last week. He passed on the 2nd. I can't remember the last time I saw him - over 30 years ago? Oh, but who is Bullock? In order of picture placement to the right:

• Renee, my step-mother (Danny's second ex-wife)

• Blake, my younger brother

• Danny, my father

• Judy, Renee's mom

• Bryan, my youngest brother

• ME - wasn't I cute

• Nise, Renee's sister

• Bob, Nise's husband

• Bill (Bullock), Renee's dad

The thing I see in this picture is the men that were heads of the family. I also notice - all of them passed in the last nine months. 1st - last summer was Bob, 2nd - Danny in December and 3rd - Bullock last week (3/4/24).

I found my "Chico" photo album and found some pictures of the whole family. I wish we had cell phones that took pictures back then. So many memories that can't be shared visually. I sent pictures to Renee, Blake and Shanda (Renee's daughter after divorcing Danny - kinda like a sister, but we don't share a mom or dad... but we share brothers). I know sometimes when you lose someone close, pictures help keep the memories. Looking back at them and smiling or laughing. 

Lord, please give comfort and healing to those who have someone in their heart they are missing. We are thankful they are out of pain and in your presence. I also request that you be with anyone fighting addiction. I ask this in Jesus name - Amen.
